At last!

Frog snack...
I have visited Cilgerran as often as I can when weather is good to try and get a good view of the kingfishers. Last weekend Sarah and I had a great couple of hours watching a heron stalking around the reedbeds and catching reasonably large fish which with some jiggery-pokery slid down his gullet. As we watched all this going on a kingfisher arrived and perched in the right place for some very reasonable portrait shots in the afternoon light. Whilst this one is not a typical face on shot it does show the tiny frog that it had caught and snacked upon. I was so pleased that I offered to buy Sarah an ice-cream; she declined which was good news because it meant I didn't have to cadge the money off her to buy one...
